Description:
The Howard University Alumni Club of Atlanta and the Toni Morrison Society will present a community discussion on The Bluest Eye, Toni Morrison's first novel, a book heralded for its richness of language and boldness of vision.
Marking the upcoming 50th anniversary of the publication of Toni Morrison’s inaugural novel, and in recognition of her passing, this community dialogue, facilitated by the founder and board chair of Toni Morrison Society Dr. Carolyn Denard, will explore and celebrate this iconic work of literary fiction.
The mission of the Toni Morrison Society is to initiate, sponsor, and encourage critical dialogue, scholarly publications, and projects devoted to the study of the works of Toni Morrison.
