Join MRI Studios and the Black Brew Movement for a happy hour featuring Black-owned beer brands! Explore craft beer and art with tastings, panels, and networking.
Welcome to Black Hoppy Hour! Join us on Sat, May 25, 2024 at 7:00 PM for a night of art, beer, and culture. This event will highlight the experiences of local Black-owned craft brewers and also showcase their beers through an exclusive tasting and build on the versatility of craft beer with our house craft beer cocktails. Stay until the end to see the unveiling of MRI's May art exhibit inspired by the local craft beer movement.
Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Parking is available near local garages and on the street. This location is also accessible via public transportation.
Event Schedule
6:30 pm - Doors open
Walk through/ see exhibits, learn about MRI and BBM
7:00 pm - 7:10 pm - Welcome and introduction
Guest will be directed to the beer tasting area where a Black Brew Movement
volunteer will pour beers and guide guests through the tasting experience.
Tickets can be redeemed throughout the evening
7:10 pm - 7:45 pm - Panel discussion
Panelist will discuss the current state of craft beer, their journey into the industry, how their respective brands are making a difference and areas for improvement and inspiration to other entrepreneurs. Moderated by Courtney Rominiyi, Co-founder of the Black Brew Movement
