Why we exist:
Refugees or displaced people face many challenges, most are fleeing or have fled their home countries due to ethnic cleansing, political persecution, or natural disasters. They face even further challenges when trying to integrate into a new country, understand cultural nuances, navigate social-economic norms, earn a living, become self-reliable, and become positive contributors to the overall success of their adoptive country.
What our mission is:
The SEBAS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization with a mission is to help alleviate some of the challenges refugees/displaced people face during one of the most crucial times in their lives through:
- Offering refugees, a safe space to connect with other refugees
- Provide job placement
- Financial assistance
- Mentorships
- Community resources
Who we are fundraising for:
This year we are teaming up with the Refugee Services of Texas in our quest to provide assistance to a refugee family. Proceeds from this year's event will fund the purchase of an automobile for a refugee family in need.
