About
Event Address: Accra International Conference Centre, Castle Road, Accra, Ghana
Description:
The launch event for Entertainment Week Ghana (EWG) will be hosted at Treehouse in Accra, a fitting venue for celebrating Ghana’s cultural and creative excellence.
The event will feature an art and photography exhibition from leading Ghanaian creatives, including Twins Don’t Beg, Ashmond Kwecy, Seyram09, and others. The evening will commence with a launch ceremony at the Osu Castle foyer to unveil the week-long festivities of EWG, and conclude with an after-party powered by Akwaaba UK.
The Airwaves Music Festival, a flagship event under Entertainment Week Ghana, will take place at Si Beach in Accra in partnership with Lynx Entertainment. It will feature an amazing beach concert, producer-led sessions, wellness activities, and masterclasses, creating an immersive celebration of music, culture, and creativity that runs from sunrise to sunset.
The Film Festival will take place at Akuna (Head Office), the global media firm founded by Idris Elba. It will feature a series of events including film screenings, producer sessions, interactive sessions, panel discussions, and a VIP Creators Circle in the evening, bringing together filmmakers, actors, and industry leaders to celebrate African cinema and storytelling.
A high-impact thought-leadership summit that opens the week, the Creative Summit convenes top creatives, founders, policymakers, investors, and global tastemakers. Through keynotes, panels, and strategy sessions, the summit will unpack the trends, challenges, and solutions needed to accelerate Africa’s creative transformation. From financing and IP protection to tech, media, and distribution, this summit is the intellectual engine of Entertainment Week Ghana.
The Atalé Fashion Party, part of the official programming for Entertainment Week Ghana, will spotlight five of Africa’s top designers — Christie Brown, Chocolate Clothing, Free The Youth, and Detail Africa. The event will feature a one-of-a-kind fashion setup never before seen in Africa, an exclusive runway showcase, and will seamlessly transition into an after-party at The Treehouse in Osu, Accra, blending high fashion, culture, and nightlife into one unforgettable experience.
