Freedom Short Film Showcase -40 Acre Conference - Juneteenth Freedom Festival

Join us for the Freedom Short Film Showcase. This event is sponsored  by the International Sports Film Festival. At this event there will be film packets and free film education courses to young aspiring black and minority filmmakers. This is a free ticketed event with give-a-ways and prizes. This event will sell out, so please RSVP as soon as possible!   There will  be a number of award winning short films showcasing the black and minority community. SFF’s mission is to provide filmmakers with a platform to share impactful sports stories that will inspire and educate audiences. Through film we are building a community that activates activism by fostering conversations around societal issues both on and off field.This is located in the former historic Barbara Jordan Post office that has been converted to the 8th wonder of the world. Featuring the world's largest 5.5 acre rooftop skylawn, state of the art music hall, food hall with 27 different restaurants, historic art showcases, interactive space and 3 of the highest rated spots to take  pictures in the City of Houston.
