Description: In Observance of Women's History Month 2019, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host Tea Party with a Purpose- A Celebration of American Girls Addy Walker and Melody Ellison. In the spirit of American Girls, Addy Walker, a brave Civil War-era Black girl determined to gain her freedom; and Melody, an optimistic Black girl growing up in the 1960s who wants to lift her voice with others and stand up for what's right, we will host a celebratory youth craft and tea party. Children and their dolls, ages 8 and up, are invited to take part. There is a limit of 30 children, RSVP please by emailing bridget.carter@fultoncountyga.gov
