As part of the weekly Community Dialogue and Discussion, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will highlight iconic cinematic features, highlighting Intersectionality and Otherness, with a screening of the film, Adorn: The Legacy of African American Muslim Women in the Modest Fashion Industry.
Through candid and sometimes intense interviews, this documentary restructures the past and present fashion norm. The scope of the film is to share the history of African American Muslim Women’s contribution and legacy in shaping the current so-called modest wear industry. Their stories are rich, engaging and phenomenal.
